Refund policy
At Oak and Spore, we take the best care to ensure you get high quality mushroom products. Due to the nature of the material we sell - living mycelium - returns/exchanges are not accepted once you have received the product. Refunds are issued under limited circumstances only (read further below). There are many challenges with growing mushrooms, and failure to obtain high quality mushrooms does not constitute a faulty product.
If you believe your product is defective/faulty please get in touch. You can contact us at admin@oakandspore.co.nz, please provide as much information as possible (i.e order number, date kit was activated, images of current condition of grow kit).
Damages and issues
- Please inspect your order within 24 hours of receiving the goods, and contact us immediately if the item is damaged, missing items, or if you received the wrong item.
Refunds/Replacements
- Refunds/replacements are not issued for grow kits that have grown an unsatisfactory amount of fungi, as the success of these products are highly subjective to individual environmental conditions.
- Due to the nature of the product, refunds/replacements are not issued for grow kits that are not activated within 21 days of receiving the goods via courier. Oak and Spore is not held responsible for the quality of the product if there is a delay to activating the product, and thus there is a higher probability of the product exhibiting signs of a fault/defect due to the age and storage conditions of the product.
- However, if your Oyster Grow Kit has not begun to pin mushrooms within 21 days of receiving your kit, then we begin the process of providing email support to investigate the reason(s) for no growth. If it is determined by us that the product is defective, then we will either issue a replacement or process a refund (3-7 working days) via your original payment method (proof of purchase required). Due to the complexity and advanced level of Button Grow Kits, these products do not have a grow guarantee, and generally no refund/replacement is offered unless a defect/fault is identified during email support correspondence (proof of purchase required).
Please note: If you have purchased your Oak and Spore product from a retailer, we can provide email support to assist with your mushroom grow kit, however we cannot process refunds/replacements. If it is determined that your product is faulty, a refund/replacement must be arranged directly with the retailer.
